Prince Charmac XO – Cognac

The Story

Launching an «authentic collection» of rare and exceptional cognacs, the Prince Charmac range has been produced and personalized in our cellars in Cognac. It owes its name from Didier’s great grandfather race horse. Designs of VSOP & VS bottles were created by GRANDISSIME with a specific glassmaker’s mould, which makes this bottle design exclusive. Cognac is an eau-de-vie (literally, «water of life») aged in oak casks for decades. Cognacs mature in 3 different cellars; firstly the young «Eaux-de-vie» remain in young barrels and are then transferred into wooden barrels so as to complete their ageing in a cellar with a higher humidity level and in fine oak barrels rendering elegance and finesse. XO are between 20 and 40 years old, VSOP between 10 to 15 years and VS between 5 – 10 years.

The Wine

50% Folle Blanche – 50% Colombard

Mainly Ugni Blanc – Folle Blanche and Colombard. Fruity and elegant with intense orange peel, vanilla and caramel aromas.
