Liboreau Sauvignon

IGP Charentais

The Story

Just northwest of Bordeaux and on the Atlantic coast, the Charentes is renowned over the world for its fine Cognac. Yet few know of the fabulous quality of its vibrant, modern wines. With over 50 years of experience, the cellar has reinvented itself from bulk wine and spirit producer to niche cellar offering only bottled wine. They have a hundred local growers all committed to providing the finest quality grapes. Grandissime’s relationship with this cellar goes back well over 15 years. Chief winemaker Eric Graizeau sees to it that the wine, too, is of the finest quality. His wines are often rewarded by medals at various International competitions.

The Wine

100% Sauvignon

This wine has a light lemon colour with green hues and aromas of white fruits (pear, granny Smith apples) and a hint of minerality and herbaceousness. Crisp and fresh on the palate, it is well balanced between fruitiness and acidity.

Grandissime’s Advice

«Perfect served chilled on its own as an aperitif or with grilled fish, kind prawns or goat cheese dishes.”
