Petit Soleil

AOC Bordeaux Supérieur

The story

This wine comes from the same property as “Le Pin”, whose former mansion built in the 15th century used to be the residence of the Dukes of the region. Since 1997, “Le Pin” has become Château le Pin Beausoleil, and the building has benefited from a careful restoration.

Its owner Michael Hallek, professor of medicine in Germany and great lover of France, acquired Château Le Pin Beausoleil in 2004. Skilfully advised by Stéphane Derenoncourt, he produces a first-class wine.

The wine

98% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc

Petit Soleil is produced from young vines of a very favorable clay-limestone soil. Blend of  Merlot (98%) with a hint of Cabernet Franc (2%), this wine is a real red fruit extract. Dense nose with notes of blackcurrants and blueberries. This charming wine offers an unctuous mouth, with very fine and supple tannins. Its aromas of black fruits and spices make it a perfectly balanced wine, with a fresh finish.

Grandissime’s advice

“This fleshy and gourmand wine is the ideal companion of “simple” meals and will perfectly accompany meats. Ideal serving temperature: 17 ° C”
