The Story

Le Hameau means a Hamlet, or small village, reflecting the fact that the grapes for this wine come from small independent growers cluttered around a group of small villages. The real winemaking skill lies in selecting each parcel of grapes, all of which have slightly different characteristics, and blending them into a wine that has several layers of flavours.

The Wine

100% Merlot

Merlot is famous for its soft « feminin » characteristics, this example has all of that plus a cool refreshing acidity. A good all round red, ideal as a glass on its own, for entertaining and softer foods like Coq au vin and cheeses.
