Château Suau

AOC Sauternes 2ème Grand Cru Classé

The Story

Chateau Suau is a Sauternes 2nd Grand Cru Classé situated in Barsac. The 6.89 ha vineyard has been in the Biarnes family for 3 generations. Chateau Suau reflects the character of the current winemaker, Corrine Biarnes : elegant, feminine and persistent.

The Wine

80% Sémillon, 10% Muscadelle, 10% Sauvignon blanc

The wine making method is fairly traditional with perfectly controlled temperatures. The fermentation takes place in 3 year old oak barrels. Fine and elegant, this Sauternes is appreciated for its orange peel, candy fruit and quincy taste. A crispy and neat mouth with fresh and persistent aromas.

Grandissime’s Advice

«Looking for a first class sweet white wine ? Château Suau Second Grand Cru Classé is your answer. Ideal on its own as an aperitif, it will also pair well with chicken curry or a pear soufflé. Serve at 10 to 12°C.»
