Château Tour Guillotin
AOC Puisseguin Saint Emilion
The Story
Small 16ha vineyard whose vines are over 25 years old, this estate is a one man band, run by Jean-Paul Lorenzo. The wine is vinified in a very traditional way and ageing takes place in stainless steel tanks. The vines are planted south, south-east in a limestone clay soil.
The Wine
75% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc
Deep intense color. The nose display an array of black fruit aromas while young (cassis, black cherry, wildberry), stone fruits in evolution with eucalyptus, fig, liquorice and spices. On the palate it has a good generous structure. Tannins are well integrated. Good ageing potential.
