Château Mongravey

AOC Margaux Cru Bourgeois

The Story

Starting from a small established vineyard inherited from his father in 1980. In 2003, his passion for wine and the quality of his work are rewarded by the classification of the two Châteaux as Crus Bourgeois at the time of the historical revision of the classification of the Médoc’s Crus Bourgeois. The soil is composed of gravel and sand. Vines are 25 years old.

The Wine

70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc

Exotically perfumed aromas of black fruit, spice and flowers. A very subtle attack, seemingly sweet and yet backed up by ripe tannins. It has excellent balance, a harmonious finish and an easy structure. Very elegant.
