Château Gillet

AOC Bordeaux

The Story

This award winning propriety has been in the Nadau family for 5 generations (since 1880). The 25 years old vines are planted on the south facing slopes in the Entre Deux Mers area near Faleyras. The 100 hectares of vines have the merit of being in one single plot, which can be rare in the Bordeaux region. Emilie Nadau-Esquerre is now the only manager of the estate and the winemaking process is followed by leading Bordeaux winemaker Pascal Poussevin.

The Wine

60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc

Deep ruby colour with purple hues. Intense red and black fruit nose (blackcurrant and blueberry). Round on the palate with some velvety tannins and a fresh finish. Harmonious and balanced wine.
